Pickwick & Co. doesn't manufacture candles, we create them. Pickwick & Co. candles are produced from environmentally-friendly soy wax and are healthier to burn than paraffin. Soy was is a renewable resource, produced from natural U.S. grown soybeans, whereas paraffin candles are produced from petroleum. Soy candles have been shown to be approximately 90% cleaner burning than paraffin which means that you will not have build up of soot on the jars, your ceilings or walls. Although no candle can be completely soot free, Pickwick & Co. soy wax candles do have less soot and more importantly no toxins in the soot. All Pickwick & Co. candles are hand-poured with a high percentage of premium fragrances and essential oils using soy blend wax and are designed to burn with a full melt pool with no wax left on the sides, little soot and minimal build up on the wick. Our candles have a 50+ hour burning time using a clean-burning cotton and zinc wick. Pickwick & Co. soy wax candles burn cooler than paraffin and with proper care, will result in a longer lasting candle - up to 50% longer. This is yet another reason that soy candles have become increasingly popular in the marketplace over recent years.
